Wear something comfortable when throwing. Closed Toed shoes are mandatory for anyone that will be throwing. High heel shoes are not recommended.
Yes, it is somewhat. All 3 weapons require 3 things to be successful. Technique, distancing and accuracy. If any one of those is off, you will not be successful. Knife throwing is a little more difficult than axe throwing because you must be more exact with your technique and distancing.
Safety is our number one priority. Our staff will go over all of the safety procedures during a brief training session. No sport is completely free from risk but axe and knife throwing in our venue are closely monitored to keep everyone safe. We take safety seriously.
Yes, every team goes through a short training and safety session. You will learn how to properly throw an axe, knife or shuriken and do it safely. Training usually takes 10 min. depending on what is being used We are always available for more helpful hints to ensure your success through out your time with us also.
Shuriken: Literally meaning (hidden hand blade) is a Japanese concealed weapon. Shuriken come in a variety of forms and were usually sharpened. . They will usually have 2 or more points on them and are very reliable for sticking in their target. AKA throwing stars.
Face masks are optional at this location. We intentionally keep the air circulating and ventilated to help mitigate covid 19.
Yes, we do. We offer tournaments for one or all three weapons. Just because you are the best axe thrower does not mean you will win an AKS tournament. It goes by overall score.
Yes, you will. As a token of our appreciation the tournament winner will receive
a small trophy and a high quality souvenir to remember their time with us. (Please note. Tournaments require a minimum of 15 people for prize giveaways.)
We take pride in being an ecofriendly business. Axe throwing venues use a tremendous amount of wood on a yearly basis. Trees have to be cut down to supply that wood. Our business uses 100% recycled wood for our targets that was going to the landfill but is made into targets instead. These targets are 50% - 100% thicker than your standard axe throwing targets and are much more conducive to hardcore tournament throwing. They perform better hands down. No doubt.
